The InterGenerational Ministry of ABC
What is an InterGenerational Ministry? Paul, in Titus 2, gives the church instruction to use the wisdom of older generations in the church to disciple successive generations. While the world wants to disregard and delegitimize seasoned saints, we want to tap into that wisdom that the Lord has given. Young saints need wisdom and practical help, seasoned saints are often more than willing to give both.

Mentor young fathers in biblical leadership and provision
Disciple young women
Teach young mothers practical homemaking skills
Invite younger believers into your home for hospitality
Help young adults learn budgeting and debt avoidance
Teach basic car maintenance and home repair skills
Pray regularly with younger church members one-on-one
Help younger believers learn how to study Scripture
Invite young couples into our home to model faithful marriage

Meet with engaged couples for premarital encouragement/counseling
Help young couples navigate conflict biblically
Serve as surrogate grandparents for children far from extended family
Teach practical stewardship: cooking, budgeting, saving, planning
Encourage younger believers through handwritten notes and check-ins
Read Scripture and pray with children in the nursery or children’s ministry
Train younger believers in perseverance through trials and suffering
Teach younger Christians how to reconcile relationships biblically
Offer rides to younger members without transportation
Help young men develop practical work ethic and responsibility
Teach younger women how to care for others sacrificially and joyfully
Open our home for intergenerational Bible studies
